Senior Accountant

Greca Travel is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant.

The ideal candidate should show passion for accounting and experience in this field.

Responsibilities:

· Conducts research to identify new accounting methods or procedures which could improve

efficiency or effectiveness of operations.

· Participates in or leads, internal audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls within an

organisation’s financial management system.

· Prepares reports on company performance including profit and loss statements, balance

sheets, and cash flow analyses.

· Monitors cash flow to ensure that bills are paid on time and that there is enough money

available to cover upcoming expenses.

· Reviews financial statements and reports on any errors in accounting methodology.

· Controls invoices, bank statements and payroll.

· Ensures adherence to company’s policies and procedures and coordination in audit procedures.

· Proactively performs preventive quality controls and initiates corrective actions when necessary

· Cooperates with tax authorities in case of tax reviews.

· Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with external auditors, regulators, and

other stakeholders such as attorneys and external parties such as customers or suppliers.

Main Qualifications Professional Competencies:

· University degree in Accounting or Finance.

· A postgraduate degree in a related field is considered an asset.

· 8-10 years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably in the Tourism Industry.

· Excellent knowledge of the English language.

· Up to date knowledge of Greek accounting standards.

· Knowledgeable with MyData, Ergani, GEMH.

· Corporate Tax expert.

· Very good knowledge of ERP accounting packages and Google Suite and especially

Google Sheets.

· High standards of business ethics and professional conduct.

· Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Perseverance and results orientation.
