Crew Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Crew Manager to join our shipping company.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in maritime crew management, with a focus on operational excellence, teamwork, and communication.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5-6 years of experience in the crew department within a shipping company.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies or a related field.
3. Strong communication skills and a collaborative team-oriented approach.
4. Proven ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
5. Excellent command of the English language and proficiency in industry-standard ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage all travel arrangements and formalities to facilitate crew embarkation and disembarkation and communication with port Agents.
2. Coordinate with manning agents for crew selection, ensuring qualified personnel are onboarded.
3. Evaluate the performance of officers and crew in cooperation with relevant departments upon disembarkation.
4. Maintain detailed and up-to-date files for each crew member using specialized software.
5. Negotiate contracts and various fees with manning agents and platforms.
6. Work closely with the accounting department to monitor and manage MGAs.
7. Develop and maintain a reliable pool of officers to meet staffing requirements.
