Senior Operator for our Post-Fixing department

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

Minimum 8- 10 years of experience in the post fixtures/freight collections department of a ship- company with bulk carriers.
bachelor’s degree ideally in Law or BSc/MSc in Maritime/Shipping Management. A relevant master’s degree will be highly acknowledged.
excellent communication skills, be a team player capable of making decisions under pressure.
strong ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize requirements to meet deadlines.
excellent command of the English language and industry standard computerized ERP systems.

Main Duties:

Responsible for overseeing all operational matters 24/7, including monitoring communications between charterers and owners.

Implementing charter party terms, preparing laytime calculations, handling bills of lading/LOI issues.
preparing freight and hire debit notes and resolving charter party disputes at an entry level under the guidance of the operations manager.
providing all necessary supporting material to Claims Department when a dispute cannot be settled amicably, or legal actions are required.
collaborating closely with the accounting department to monitor outstanding receivables and credits.
